When visiting beaches on the east coast of Florida, one of my favorite places to hang out is in front of Coconuts on the Beach Restaurant in Cocoa Beach, FL! It's one of the few restaurants/bars located directly on the beach in Cocoa and is always a huge party spot on weekends in the summer.
If you're looking for sand volleyball, beer pong, flip cup and a really fun, young crowd, this is the place to be! We usually bring a cooler of beer (just make sure you have cans to avoid the $100 fine!) and some chips or something to hold us over and head to Coconuts for lunch and a Daiquiri or two!
There is a sand volleyball court right in front of Coconuts and then people typically set up folding tables under their tailgating tents for beer pong (if the wind isn't too bad) or flip cup.
We set up our chairs and towels closer to Coconuts so we had some room to throw the football and could keep an eye on our stuff while we ate lunch.
LUNCH AT COCONUTS:
Their food is awesome and we've had amazing service the last couple of times we've been! The tables outside on the deck are first-come-first-serve so you may have to walk around a bit to find something especially on the weekends but it is definitely worth it! If you are super hungry though and not picky about where you sit, check inside for seating since most people sit outside on the deck. We got peel and eat shrimp and the Baja Tacos. Delicious!
The beach becomes pretty peaceful around 5-6pm. :)
Have you ever been to Coconuts in Cocoa Beach? What's your favorite beach-front bar/restaurant?
