Orlando Brewing Bar and Brewery Tour
Orlando Brewing is a local, organic, hand crafted brewery located just south of downtown Orlando. The brewery is open to the public for tours and includes a bar area where you can sample their product as well as brews from other local breweries!

Festival of Fantasy parade at Disney's Magic Kingdom
If you're planning a trip to Magic Kingdom anytime soon, make sure to include the Festival of Fantasy parade in your schedule!
The parade happens daily at 3pm and can be seen on the parade route starting in Frontierland then moving through Liberty Square, in front of Cinderella's castle and down Main Street, USA ending near the front of the park. The parade features some of our favorite characters from Disney classics and newer Disney stories. Maleficent makes an appearance in dragon form and apparently breathes fire although I don't think it was working when we were there. The steampunk inspired float is incredible regardless!

Bohemian Celebration Lakeside Bar & Grill Magical Dining
It's that wonderful time of year again! Orlando's Magical Dining Month is back and we are excited to try out some of the areas best restaurants and share our experiences with Fun in the Sun readers!
For those of you who aren't familiar with Magical Dining, once a year in September, you can dine at select fine dining restaurants in Orlando for $33 per person for an appetizer, entree, and dessert. One dollar from each meal will be donated to ELEVATE Orlando! You can view a list of the participating restaurants and their menu here: Magical Dining Restaurants/Menus
Our first Magical Dining experience this year was the Lakeside Bar & Grill at the Bohemian Hotel in Celebration.

Fulton's Crab House in Downtown Disney
Fulton's Crab House in Downtown Disney recently hosted the Central Florida Lady Bloggers group to sample their menus offerings of fresh seafood, desserts, and cocktails. I've been wanting to try Fulton's forever so I was super excited to be apart of the event! Fulton's Crab House serves up amazingly fresh seafood with an awesome atmosphere that all takes place on a replica riverboat!

Marlow's Tavern Waterford Lakes Orlando
Marlow's Tavern recently opened their newest restaurant in Waterford Lakes Town Center which is now the third location in Central Florida. I had the pleasure of attending a media preview with the Central Florida Lady Bloggers group and was impressed with the laid-back atmosphere, fresh food, refreshing cocktails, and warm, genuine hospitality.
The restaurant features plenty of seating for groups of all sizes if you're looking for a relaxing date spot or looking for a place to catch up with friends inside or outside. There are cool, misting fans on the outside patio to keep you cool on those hot summer Florida days/evenings. The tavern opens at 11:30am daily however there are no set closing hours as the owners want you to be able to relax without feeling like you have to rush to finish up.

The Whiskey in Dr Phillips

Splitsville at Disney Springs Orlando
I've walked by Splitsville in Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) many times but hadn't had the chance to experience it until recently when I met up with the Central Florida Lady Bloggers group. Splitsville graciously provided us with two hours of complimentary bowling while we had a chance to network and catch up with fellow bloggers all while checking out the coolest bowling alley I've ever been to!
Splitsville is located on the West Side of Disney Springs near House of Blues, Cirque du Soleil, and Disney Quest and features two floors of bowling lanes, billiards tables, and 5 bars including an outside patio and a balcony! There was a live band on the first level patio when I arrived and a different band playing when I left making it a very chill spot to grab something to eat and drink even if you aren't a bowler.

SusHi Eatstation in Orlando
I recently had the pleasure of checking out one of the coolest sushi restaurants right here in Central Florida! Sus Hi Eatstation is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that allows you to create your own sushi masterpiece with super fresh ingredients and a fun atmosphere!
The menu seems pretty simple but can be overwhelming when looking at all of the different fillers they offer! That's where the SusHi Ninjas come in to help walk you through everything.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango in Orlando
Cafe Tu Tu Tango is an eclectic, artsy restaurant located on International Drive in Orlando that features a tapas-style menu and local artwork for sale right off the wall! You will often find local artists painting their next piece right there in the restaurant as you eat!
There is a huge patio outside that opens up right to the bar for easy access with plenty of seating perfect for the beautiful Orlando weather!

Holiday Decorations at the Grand Floridian Walt Disney World
I recently met up with fellow blogger, Orlando Fun and Food to check out the holiday decorations around the Walt Disney World resorts and had a blast! This is a free experience that anyone can participate in as you do not need a Disney pass or ticket of any kind to explore the resorts! We brought along a flask (don't tell Mickey) to make drinks along the way to save some money. You could also bring snacks in a backpack if you plan on exploring for an extended period of time.
We parked at the Transportation center (near Magic Kingdom) and hopped the monorail to The Grand Floridian. This is a beautiful resort even without the holiday decorations so of course it is extra nice this time of year!
The huge 45 foot tall tree in the atrium is definitely a sight to be seen!

Caribe Royale in Orlando
When Matt proposed to me on Thanksgiving, he had the following weekend all planned out including a suite booked at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel and Convention Center. The hotel is 5 minutes from Disney property making it an ideal property for us since we were looking to spend some time at the parks. I was surprised at the number of families with small children staying at the resort but it makes sense considering the close proximity of Disney World.
Although we did not spend a ton of time at the resort, we did have some time and explore a bit to enjoy the beautifully landscaped property before heading to the parks. There were people swimming in the pool at the end of November which seemed crazy to us but we later learned that the pool is heated. My thought process on that was "You have to get out at some point!" and considering we were walking around in hoodies and were still cold, taking a dip was not on the list of things we waned to do!
The hotel has a very elegant feel to it which is apparent by the front desk/main lobby photo:
You also get a little taste of Florida walking through the resort from the faux palms in the main lobby.

The pool is beautiful and serves as the centerpiece for the hotel between the three towers. There is also a kiddie pool on the backside of the main pool for the real little ones.

The BoardWalk at Walt Disney World
Since we have become Disney World season pass holders, we have spent a good amount of time at Disney's BoardWalk resort. I love walking around the Jersey Shore styled BoardWalk and feeling like I'm in a beach town right here in Orlando!
Plus, you can't beat being able to park at the resort for free and then walking to Epcot! This definitely helps saves money if you have the seasonal pass like us which does not include parking fees (typically around $16). That's money that could be spent on food or drinks in the parks or at the resorts in my opinion. (Keep reading to learn how you can get to Epcot by walking from the BoardWalk)
Disney's BoardWalk is a waterfront dining, shopping, and entertainment complex located at Walt Disney World Orlando. Located on Crescent Lake, the complex provides easy access to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The BoardWalk has a little something for everyone whether you are looking to grab a bite to eat, have a cocktail, watch a sports game, dance the night away and so on.

(Note that there may be other stops before your destination and it can take some time to get where you're going). We took the boat from the BoardWalk to Hollywood Studios and had two stops before we got there.
If you don't want to wait for the boat, you can also walk to Epcot by walking past the ESPN Club and making a right just over the bridge. This back entrance to the park will bring you to the World Showcase next to France.

There will be plenty of photo ops in front of the 30 foot tree built out of LEGOs and LEGO reindeer. Nightly fireworks begin Dec 26 until the end of the year.

The Wine Room on Park Ave in Winter Park
One of my all time favorite bars/lounges in Winter Park is the Wine Room on Park Ave. The Wine Room is perfect for wine lovers as well as those that aren't quite sure what they like as you are able to sample wines by the ounce or by the glass until you find that perfect fit. They feature over 156 wines from around the world to please any palate!
The Wine Room is located on Park Avenue in Winter Park's signature shopping district. Park avenue is home to many high end restaurants, boutiques, and Central Park which hosts concerts, shows and events throughout the year.
When you walk into the Wine Room, you purchase a wine tasting card for $3 and load the desired amount of funds onto the card. The $3 charge is a one-time fee for as long as you keep the card! You can always load more funds onto your card throughout your visit and on your next visit so I suggest starting with around $20-$30 until you figure out what you like and how much that particular glass is going to cost you. The wine prices will vary depending on the bottle and the pour size you select. Each dispenser is marked throughout the lounge with the style and origin. You will also find descriptive cards for each bottle which will give you an idea of what to expect before you sample.
When you have decided on a wine and are ready to pour, insert your card into the slot, hold your glass under the spout, select your pour size and hold that button until the wine begins to dispense. You are able to select from a 1oz, 2.5oz or 5oz pour size. Your leftover balance will be displayed before removing your card. Which brings me to another great tip...DON'T FORGET TO GRAB YOUR CARD!!! That would not be fun.
The Food
The Wine Room offers a variety of starters, sandwiches, salads, small plates, flat breads, and desserts for you to choose from! Just ask a bartender or a server for a menu!
The Fromage Cave features numerous artisan cheeses that you are able to sample as a cheese flight or purchase by the pound. I personally don't appreciate the combination of cheese and wine but that's just me...
We ordered the Bruschetta and the Prosciutto (which was on a specialty menu for the evening). Both were fantastic and perfect choices to cleanse your palate between wine tastings!
Downstairs Lounge
For years I thought the downstairs area was only a private party area but it turns out anyone is welcome to enjoy the space (when there isn't a private party function)! There are lockers located downstairs that allow for a temperature-controlled, secure place to store your wines and can be rented on a yearly basis.

Overall, the Wine Room is a perfect place to catch up with friends while trying new wines that you may not have thought to try before. I love the cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home and the Mediterranean vibe you get from the lounge.

The Wine Room is located on Park Avenue in Winter Park's signature shopping district. Park avenue is home to many high end restaurants, boutiques, and Central Park which hosts concerts, shows and events throughout the year.
When you walk into the Wine Room, you purchase a wine tasting card for $3 and load the desired amount of funds onto the card. The $3 charge is a one-time fee for as long as you keep the card! You can always load more funds onto your card throughout your visit and on your next visit so I suggest starting with around $20-$30 until you figure out what you like and how much that particular glass is going to cost you. The wine prices will vary depending on the bottle and the pour size you select. Each dispenser is marked throughout the lounge with the style and origin. You will also find descriptive cards for each bottle which will give you an idea of what to expect before you sample.
When you have decided on a wine and are ready to pour, insert your card into the slot, hold your glass under the spout, select your pour size and hold that button until the wine begins to dispense. You are able to select from a 1oz, 2.5oz or 5oz pour size. Your leftover balance will be displayed before removing your card. Which brings me to another great tip...DON'T FORGET TO GRAB YOUR CARD!!! That would not be fun.
The Food
The Wine Room offers a variety of starters, sandwiches, salads, small plates, flat breads, and desserts for you to choose from! Just ask a bartender or a server for a menu!
The Fromage Cave features numerous artisan cheeses that you are able to sample as a cheese flight or purchase by the pound. I personally don't appreciate the combination of cheese and wine but that's just me...
We ordered the Bruschetta and the Prosciutto (which was on a specialty menu for the evening). Both were fantastic and perfect choices to cleanse your palate between wine tastings!
Downstairs Lounge
For years I thought the downstairs area was only a private party area but it turns out anyone is welcome to enjoy the space (when there isn't a private party function)!
