Visit Daytona Beach! A trip to the beach, boardwalk and pier

This post brought to you by Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Fun in the Sun.

I've been craving some sand between my toes lately so last weekend Matt, my brother, and I all hopped in the car and headed to Daytona Beach for some Outdoor Fun! It only takes an hour to get there from Orlando and even though the forecast didn't look like it was going to be in our favor, we took the chance and I'm happy we did! The weather was beautiful and it was the perfect dose of Fun in the Sun.

Breakfast at Earl St Grill in Daytona Beach

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I love finding little mom and pop breakfast restaurants to try! On our recent stay in Daytona Beach, Earl St Grill was right across the street from our hotel so we opted to try it out rather than hitting up the Dunkin Donuts close by.

The restaurant was completely empty because 1.) it was a Wednesday and 2.) the tourist season had just ended and kids were all back in school. We walked in and found a big corner booth to sit at. Our waitress came out to great us and seemed surprised that we came in. I think she was the only one there because she disappeared for a while to cook our breakfast (I'm assuming). Pop must have been resting for the day!

Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

 photo HiltonDaytonaBeach.png

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort in Daytona Beach when my uncle and cousins were in town and enjoyed my experience there. The resort and Daytona Beach in general were pretty quiet since all the kids had just gone back to school which made our stay nice and relaxing!
